Wester Causewayend House has a wonderful rural yet accessible location on the northern edge of the Pentland Hills Regional Park on the outskirts of Edinburgh. It has a spectacular setting with the heather covered hills providing a stunning backdrop and great amenity with lots of countryside walks on the door step.

A good range of local facilities can be found nearby in the villages of Kirknewton, Balerno and Currie, while more extensive shopping is available in Livingston to the northwest and Hermiston Gait on the edge of Edinburgh to the east. The train station at Kirknewton has regular services into Edinburgh and Glasgow. The M8, M9 and A720 Edinburgh City Bypass provide a fast road network and Edinburgh International Airport (13 miles) has regular flights to a wide range of destinations.

Description

Wester Causewayend House is a wonderful B Listed farmhouse dating from 1802 in a superb rural location, close to the popular villages of Balerno and Kirknewton. Once a shepherd's house and agricultural buildings, the house was converted in 2000 and in more recent years it has been extensively modernised, now providing a fantastic blend of modern open plan living areas with period features throughout. The house is stone built under a slate roof and recently all of the windows and doors have been upgraded by Mozolowski & Murray.

The house is accessed through a vestibule between the kitchen and sitting room, where there is a hallway with a cloakroom.
