The house is perfectly located on a garden square in Wapping, next to the river Thames, within the Pier Head Conservation Area.

Tower Bridge and St Katharine Docks are approximately 0.5 miles away. The City and Canary Wharf are within easy reach by foot, bus or train.

'Pier Head' was created by architect Daniel Asher Alexander who designed two terraces of dock officials' houses either side of the entrance to the London Docks at Wapping Pierhead, built in 1811. The dock entrance became a riverside garden after the closure of the London Docks in 1969.
