The Land

White Home Farm boasts rich, productive peaty soils ideal for arable and root cropping, situated in a well-managed single block southeast of the house and yard. The arable land, divided into three level fields, spans approximately 91.52 acres (37.04 hectares). Historically, the land has been used for cereals, as well as sugar beet and potatoes.

Classified as Grade 2 by the Ministry of Agriculture, the soils are primarily Adventurers 2 series, characterized as deep peat soils over variable subsoils, typically sandy or sometimes gravelly. This classification indicates suitability for growing cereals, potatoes, sugar beet, and vegetables. Additionally, a small young coppice woodland, planted in 2017, is located to the east. The farmland offers opportunities for continued agricultural production or potential environmental initiatives for interested purchasers.
