Lindfield, meaning 'open land with lime trees', is a popular village to the east of Haywards Heath. Its origins date back to the early C11th, and its picturesque High Street has a good range of independent shops, boutiques and a small supermarket. Further shopping and leisure facilities are at Haywards Heath (1.5 miles) and the City of Brighton & Hove (15 miles).
