The village of Brinkhill lies in a peaceful position in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nearby Alford (approx. 6.3 miles) and Spilsby (approx. seven miles) provide several everyday amenities, including local shops, cafés, restaurants and schooling, while Louth (approx. 10.1 miles) provides a wealth of facilities, including a good selection of shops, supermarkets and weekly markets on Wednesdays, Friday and Saturdays.

Schooling in the area includes a primary school in Tetford, with secondary schooling available in Spilsby and Alford including the selective Queen Elizabeth's Grammar in Alford.

For leisure, there are a variety of wonderful walking, cycling and riding routes in the surrounding Lincolnshire Wolds countryside.

The area is well connected by road, with the A16 providing routes towards Grimsby, while A158 provides access towards Lincoln, approx. 29.6 miles away.
