Lane End Barn is surrounded by some of Hampshire's finest downland countryside, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in the South Downs National Park. Although in the depths of the countryside, in a most beautiful unspoilt valley, it is not isolated and is only a short (10 minutes) drive to the cathedral city of Winchester. Winchester offers an excellent range of schooling, at preparatory level Twyford, Pilgrims and Prince's Mead and at senior level there is also St Swithun's School, Winchester College, Peter Symonds College and, in nearby Petersfield, Bedales. The national motorway network is easily accessible with junction 9 of the M3 at Winchester, and the A3 from Petersfield. Southampton International Airport is convenient with an increasing choice of UK and European destinations.
