Fritzøehus Castle is the largest privately owned residence in Norway. The main building is located on a hill southwest of Larvik and is surrounded by a large, gated garden as well as a beautiful landscape park. Fritzøehus has a total floor area of 6,707 square meters, and the surrounding inner garden amounts to 21 acres of well-kept lawns with a varied flora and unique sculptures. Along with the majestic outer park, the total area of the estate is 420 acres.

The estate's first buildings were constructed in the years 1860-1863. Several times since then, they have been supplemented and developed further. Over the last 25 years, large upgrades have been made to the key buildings belonging to Fritzøehus Castle.

A property like this cannot be experienced anywhere else in Norway and is unique even in a Nordic context. Fritzøehus Castle has been in the possession of the same family since it was constructed.
