Location

Sarratt is designated as a Conservation Area and an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The village has a general store/post office, a garage and petrol station, along with three pretty country pubs. Excellent schooling, both state and private, is available in the area, with Sarratt having its own primary school. The nearby village of Chorleywood has a good range of shops and amenities, whilst Rickmansworth town centre provides more comprehensive facilities, including major stores and supermarkets.

Communications are good, with the Metropolitan and Chiltern Line railway station to Baker Street and Marylebone easily accessible from both Chorleywood and Rickmansworth and the main line into Euston accessible at Kings Langley. The M25 is available at Junctions 18 and 20, providing access to the national motorway network and international airports.

Description

The Woodyard is a most delightful brick and flint semi detached cottage, its frontage looking directly upon The Green. The original portion of the house, dating from 1860, has, in later years, been sympathetically extended to one side.
