Description

Mansfield House is an historic Georgian residence dating from 1788, originally commissioned by Mrs Wilks as Harrogate’s first purpose-built theatre, replacing earlier performances held in a barn behind the Granby Hotel. The theatre closed in 1830, after which the building was converted into a private home, beginning its long residential history. The property enjoys a commanding position overlooking the protected 200-acre Harrogate Stray and lies within a comfortable walk of the town centre.
