Welcome home to 2422 Lake Avenue, a secret garden oasis in the heart of sought-after Cheverly. Before we even step inside this 3BR/1BA colonial, you have to check out the award winning front yard garden, which features a PG County certified rain garden; a small nook perfect for morning coffee, neighbor greeting, happy hour; and the most beautiful explosion of colors, with flowers timed to bloom from early spring into fall. Step into this charming home and find warm hardwood floors, updated light fixtures, a 3-season porch (easily converted into an additional room), and an updated kitchen with steps out into the backyard. Upstairs find the bathroom and three bedrooms, including the spacious main bedroom, which can fit a king-sized bed.If the front yard didn’t woo you, the fenced backyard certainly will with its custom designed greenhouse and raised beds (some caged against pesky fruit and veggie stealing squirrels), a prairie garden, and the perfect tree copse for a hammock and weekend naps. The large paved patio has plenty of space for entertaining on this very social park of Lake Avenue. For the eco-conscious, this home also boasts solar panels, an EV charger, and geothermal heat pumps.
