Thanks to the power of the rushing Limå river, and the proximity to the maritime traffic across Lake Siljan, this place was perfect for establishing an ironworks at the beginning of the 19th century. On the southern shore of the lake, Limå ironworks became not just a landmark by the water but also, for a time, the largest ironworks in the region. Today, this beautiful location offers a rare estate totaling approximately 50 hectares with a long private shoreline along Lake Siljan.

A birch-lined alley leads to the majestic manor house, flanked by log cabin wings on each side, with panoramic views over the water. The manor, built in 1842, offers about 500 square meters of elegant living space where history is present in every room. South of the manor, the estate's fields stretch over approximately 35 hectares, followed by a forest area of about 15 hectares offering both thinning forest and ancient natural forest. The waters of Siljan provide a private bathing cove and outstanding views towards the larger lake and the town of Mora on the other side.
