Today, the amenities include two major supermarkets, a thriving farmers market, local shops and recreational facilities, including the popular Nordic Ski Centre, a swimming pool, a picturesque golf course and Huntly Falconry Centre. Huntly has a cottage hospital with A&E and a dental practice. The town also boasts its own thriving cinema which shows national opera and ballet productions as well as the latest movies. The train station provides a direct link to Aberdeen and Inverness. A regular bus service also operates to Aberdeen and Aberdeen International Airport is within 45 minutes of the house

Huntly is in the heart of Aberdeenshire and has unrivalled access to both the Grampian and Cairgorm Mountains and the Moray Firth with it's superb beaches, golf courses and whale and dolphin watching.
It sits on the edge of Speyside with its 50 world-renown whisky distilleries. Huntly itself has 2 distilleries, Ardmore and Glendronach, which is 4 miles from the Schoolhouse.
There is a massive range of walks within 10 minutes of the house and literally dozens of safe, picturesque cycling routes directly from the house. The Lecht Skiing Centre is less than an hour away, and the Clashindarroch, which is 15 minutes away has the best cross country ski trails in Scotland.

Description

This converted schoolhouse, known as Kinnoir Schoolhouse, is a spacious home which offers much character. The interior displays a warm blend of rustic and contemporary elements and attractive features include four log burning stoves, wooden floors, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings.

At the heart of Kinnoir Schoolhouse is the kitchen which leads into the garden room: together they create a wonderful space for everyday living and socialising. Built onto the west side of house in 2020, the glasshouse is filled with lush plants, including a striking palm tree, and provides a unique area for relaxation and entertaining.
