Location

Stiffkey is a pretty Norfolk coastal village between Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney. The village is famous for its 'Stewkey Blues', a local blue cockle and has a renowned pub, The Red Lion, which has recently become one of the dining destinations on the coast, serving real ale and excellent food. Also within the village is the popular ‘Stiffkey Stores’ comprising a general store and coffee shop as well as selling plants and lifestyle interiors . The village is very well placed for the famous North Norfolk Coast with The Stiffkey marshes giving access to Blakeney Point, the village and coastline are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is excellent sailing at various points along the coast, a plethora of restaurants and pubs in the area, seal trips at both Morston and Blakeney and a network of coastal walks through the marshes and beaches with renowned bird watching.

Holt (approximately 7 miles) is famous for its boutique shopping, Byfords delicatessen, good restaurants and pubs, art galleries, crafts shops and antique show rooms. The town has further specialist and everyday shopping, private and state education, and banking and health facilities within the town.

Apple Cottage offers calm and peace amongst the bustling coastal scene of North Norfolk. Tucked away in a discreet end of the ever popular village of Stiffkey, with the all-important parking and private garden, Apple Cottage is a charming Grade II listed cottage that enjoys the character one would expect for a house of this age, together with neutral and stylish décor.

The pretty main elevation is a great welcome, with two entrances to choose from. The main entrance takes you into an initial staircase hall, and then off into the super comfortable sitting room with the impressive inglenook fireplace with mellow brickwork, and exposed ceiling beams. A dining room provides a further fireplace, with woodburner and panelling. The kitchen perfectly matches the house, with shaker units and neutral worktop, further panneling and a sink with a view of the garden.

The bedrooms are spread over the ground and first floor. The ground floor bedroom is a brilliant asset, hidden away at one end of the cottage and away from the main living space, and ideal for elderly relatives or guests, or anyone who cannot manage the stairs. The first floor hosts the principal bedroom, which offers the surprise of tall vaulted ceilings creating a great sense of space. A further bedroom and family bathroom complete the first floor, with dormer windows looking out to the garden.


The latter is a fully enclosed area creating a tranquil outdoor space. A paved terrace adjoins the house, ideal for outside dining, entertaining or simply relaxing after a coastal walk or along the river valley and hills of the village.
