Easterton Sands occupies an elevated position north of Market Lavington and within a mile of the wide open spaces of Salisbury Plain. The area is well served by local amenities at nearby Market Lavington including supermarket, chemist, health centre, public house and butchers as well as Easterton, and Urchfont to the north/east.

The area offers easy access to the market town of Devizes, with Pewsey and Marlborough further east. Planks Farm shop is situated the other side of Urchfont with its array of local produce. Devizes with all the facilities of a large market town, is a fifteen minute drive.

For schooling the area offers a wealth of options both state and independent, including Market Lavington, Dauntsey's Academy and St Francis (all primary/prep), with senior school options including Lavington School and Dauntsey's, both within 2 miles and Marlborough College. Further options include Bishops Wordsworth and South Wilts grammars in Salisbury and Warminster School with a private bus pick up.

Description

Hawthorns was built in 1882, of local brick and is under a slate tiled roof. The house enjoys a rich local history, documented by the Spencley family who occupied the house until the early part of this century. It has served the relatively few residents in its 143 year history well. Evolving over the years the house retains immense charm and character.
