The Peninsula is known for its world class surfing, drawing professional surfers from around the world.

Belmullet is home to Carne Golf Links, one of Ireland's most picturesque golf courses. The 18-hole course designed by Eddie Hackett, offers unspoilt sand dunes coupled with vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. A further nine holes designed by Ally Mcintosh and Jim Engh complement the original Hackett course. Home to the 2023 Irish PGA Tour, the course is amongst the top 12 courses in Ireland and is comprised of 27 holes of the finest links golf with some of the tallest dunes ever used.

Ballina, 82km distant, is Mayo's largest town and offers a comprehensive range of amenities such as supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, a health centre and several retail stores. The award-winning seaside heritage town, Westport, is situated an hour and a half drive from the property. Overlooked by Croagh Patrick Mountain, the town attracts visitors from all over the world each year.
