Strathpeffer is a picturesque Victorian spa village nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, approximately 20 miles northwest of Inverness. Description

New York Villa is a charming detached period villa occupying a elevated position in the Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer. The property is set within its own mature gardens and its name is derived from the original builder, local stonemason Donald Mackenzie, who was born in nearby Mulbuie in 1854 and who travelled in the US and New York City during the latter half of the 19th century. Upon his return to Scotland in the late 1800s, Mackenzie built New York Villa as his family home.
