Burnside is situated in the picturesque conservation village of Brunton, nestled in the beautiful countryside of northeast Fife, only 6.5 miles from the popular market town of Cupar. The hills of Green Craig and Normans Law sit just to the southwest, with Carnie Hill and Dunbog Hill beyond. There are designated walking paths throughout, including the Fife Coastal Path, offering scenic hiking and spectacular panoramic views.

Brunton has a lovely rural setting within quiet countryside, but is also easily accessible. The market town of Cupar has an excellent range of shops, bakeries, cafés, and professional services. The cities of Dundee (12 miles) and Perth (17 miles) offer a wider range of shops and cultural venues. The stunning coastal town of St Andrews is 16 miles to the east. With its world-renowned university and excellent range of shops, restaurants and services, the town is regarded globally as the "home of golf", with no fewer than seven golf courses. Ladybank (8.5 miles) also has an extremely well-regarded 18-hole heathland course.

Dunbog Primary School, and Bell Baxter High School in Cupar are within easy reach. Private schooling is offered at St Leonards in St Andrews and the High School of Dundee, as well as several highly regarded independent schools in the Perth area. Edinburgh Airport is about 44 miles to the south and has an extensive range of domestic and international flights. The regional airport at Dundee offers services to Heathrow. There are railway stations at Ladybank, Cupar and Leuchars, the latter with regular mainline services to Edinburgh and London.

Description

Burnside was once a small croft dating back to the early 1800s, and is Category C Listed. The house was fully renovated and extended in 2007, incorporating what was a traditional cottage and adjoining byre, with the addition of a new extension. This created an outstanding home with contemporary, characterful accommodation, set within spectacular, mature gardens of about 0.47 acres.

A paved path leading from the principal parking area passes through a beautiful stone-walled front garden, to the front door of Burnside. The property, whilst traditional in character, benefits from modernised living space, as well as full double glazing, and underfloor heating throughout.
