The small village of Hough-on-the-Hill occupies a peaceful rural setting, approx. 18 miles south of the cathedral city of Lincoln and within reach of Newark-on-Trent and the market town of Grantham. The village has a parish church and a local pub, while nearby Caythorpe (approx. 1.8 miles) has a convenience store, a pub, a primary school and a sports and social club organising various local activities.
