Description

Intsomi Forest Lodge is a property like no other. 1,018 ha in extent, a property that adjoins the South African National Parks indigenous Woody Cape Forest, with panoramic views over the Alexandria dune fields which are the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as over the magnificent Indian ocean.

In 2004 the South African Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism suggested that the area be recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and it currently sits on a UNESCO waiting list for evaluation. The lodge offers visitors exclusive lodge-style accommodation within the ‘Woody Cape' indigenous forest, providing complete privacy for those wanting to escape from it all, while still being able to enjoy a luxurious venue and exclusive setting. It's the ideal getaway for families, groups of friends, corporate retreats and team building getaways. A Birder's paradise with nature walks and forest trails. Buffalo and Plains Game abound.

The Lodge consists of 8 suites, all with aircon and large verandas and family unit. The main lodge has a lounge area, dining room and outside dining area incorporating a Boma. An outdoor pool with a Viewing deck, as well as a conference room accommodation 24 delegates.

Buffalo Breeding Project:
There is a very successful, high-genetic Cape Buffalo breeding project with over 100 animals roaming free over approximately 900 ha. The breeding project is owned by Mentis Buffalo (Pty) Ltd and is not included in the asking price but it is for sale and can be negotiated depending on the purchaser's desires. Intsomi Lodge derives an income from this project.

Other game which is included in the sale include Eland, Zebra, Impala and many indigenous Bushbuck.
