Some homes you walk into. This one you walk through—straight out onto the deck, where the pool catches the light and the Atlantic stretches out in front of you.Set within the Grotto Bay Private Nature Reserve on the West Coast, this spacious four-bedroom, three-bathroom family home is built around easy, unhurried coastal living. The heart of it is a generous open-plan living and lounge area, anchored by a fireplace for those cool coastal evenings and an indoor braai that keeps the entertaining going regardless of what the weather is doing outside. The kitchen is well-appointed and flows naturally from the living space, with a separate scullery keeping the working end of things neatly out of sight.Outdoors is where this home really earns its keep. The deck is made for slow mornings with coffee, long afternoons by the pool, and sunset braais with the coastline as your backdrop. Four comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms mean everyone has their own corner without losing the connected, easy feel that runs through the house.Practically, it has been thought through. A double garage handles secure parking with additional external parking for visitors, a solar electrical supply keeps running costs down and the lights on, and the whole property is deliberately low maintenance—the point here is to enjoy the lifestyle, not spend your weekends managing it.There's genuine income potential too. Grotto Bay is a sought-after holiday destination, and this home lends itself well to short-term letting—whether you use it as a full-time residence, a holiday escape, or a bit of both, the flexibility is a real asset. The reserve itself is a large part of the appeal. Residents enjoy 24-hour access control at the main gate, continuous security monitoring and state-of-the-art infrared thermal camera systems—comprehensive protection that never intrudes on the fynbos, the birdlife and the quiet that makes this stretch of coast so special.Comfort, security, sea views and investment potential in one package. Please note: no cats are permitted within the estate.
