“This lake exceeds anything I ever beheld in beauty” the English poet P. B. Shelley once wrote about Lake Como. Located on the Italian-Swiss border, the picturesque lake town, known for its villas, palaces, cultural gems – and more recently, George Clooney sightings – has been attracting the upper echelons for centuries. It's easy to see why Lake Como is one of the most desirable locations in the whole of Italy.
Clooney has released a statement denying the fact that his home on Lake Como in Italy is for sale and dashing the rumor that he planned to move to a small island in order to foil paparazzi. A potential buyer of the Villa Oleandra at Laglio on Lake Como, which Clooney bought in 2002 for a reported $10 million (£6.5 million), is said to be the footballer David Beckham, who is playing for AC Milan. David and Victoria fell in love with the Villa after spending some time at the house and now that George has decided to sell it, they're putting in an offer!
